On Friday, February 15th, after the day of all lovers, we will meet at the restaurant Pečina at the Grand Hotel Bernardin at the 5th gourmet dinner, which is being prepared in Portorož together with Hotels Bernardin. This time fans of Vipava wines with an accentuated local character will come to their own expense. Both winemakers will be obliged to cultivate autochthonous or domesticated local varieties, which Vipava valley also has the largest of all Slovene wine districts.

Chef Aleš Grašič, who has already shown his knowledge on the previous evenings, will be cooking this evening. This time, two Vipavcas will be confronted before his eyes - Samo Premrn from the basin Pasji rep and Valter Kobal from the Fedora basement. The first one is younger, but more experienced, because his work on the farm was laid in a cradle, and he is already the fourth generation of Premrnes, recorded in viticulture and winery. Kobal grew up in Nova Gorica and did not return from Ljubljana, where he studied, right away.
